In June 2025, Herc Holdings completed its $5.3 billion acquisition of H&E Equipment Services, Inc., the largest transaction in the equipment rental sector, which integrates 165 additional locations, expands its fleet by over 30%, enhances geographical reach and customer diversity, and boosts specialty offerings including battery storage power and load banks. The company fully integrated the H&E operations onto its platform by September 2025, fortifying its position as the third-largest equipment rental provider in North America. In December 2025, Herc Holdings announced a proposed private offering of $1.2 billion in senior notes to support ongoing growth and financial strategy.
